Lassiter Repeats as Student Section of the Year

Lassiter High School’s student section, known as Trojan Nation, has once again been named the Georgia High School Association Student Section of the Year for the 5A–6A classification, marking the second consecutive year the school has received the honor. The award, presented by the GHSA Student Athlete Advisory Council, recognizes student sections that consistently demonstrate outstanding school spirit, creativity, and sportsmanship at athletic events. Lassiter’s students have become well known for their high energy, coordinated themes, and strong presence at games across multiple sports.

A defining characteristic of Trojan Nation is its emphasis on positivity and unity. Students regularly arrive early to games, dress according to planned themes, and lead organized cheers such as the T4L Get Hype Cheer, creating an electric atmosphere that supports Lassiter teams while maintaining respect for opponents. School leaders have noted that this approach helps foster a sense of belonging and pride among students, reinforcing values that extend beyond the scoreboard.

The award submission also featured a hype video created by student content creator Audrey Moss, which captured the passion, enthusiasm, and creativity of the student section in action. The video played a key role in showcasing what makes Trojan Nation stand out statewide. Together, the students’ energy, leadership, and commitment to positive school spirit continue to set a high standard for fan sections across Georgia.
