Lassiter Trojans Named Fox 5 High 5 Sports Team of the Week

The Lassiter Trojans have been named the Fox 5 High 5 Sports Team of the Week. They’re the first team this year to receive the honor, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Trojans are off to an impressive 3-0 start this season and are determined to make it 4-0 tonight at Frank Stadium against Creekview High School during Western Night. This is the Trojans’ biggest winning streak since 2017.

On September 4th, Paul Millikan from Fox 5 came to Lassiter to celebrate and present the team with their trophy. The senior pep rally was electric for the live TV broadcast with packed stands, a loud and proud band, and cheerleaders firing up the crowd.

Millikan made the event about more than just football. He joined the cheerleaders in a stunt, interviewed students, coaches, and players, and spotlighted the band’s past achievements. He kept the energy high while showcasing the whole Lassiter community.

This recognition has fueled the football players with even more motivation to keep their streak alive. It’s also fired up the student body, who have been packing the stands week after week. Let’s keep that momentum going—come out tonight for Western Night and cheer on the Trojans to 4-0!
